Step back in time and walk in the footsteps of the brave Allied soldiers who fought to liberate Europe from Nazi tyranny. This private tour from Paris to the historic D-Day beaches of Normandy offers an immersive, moving, and unforgettable journey into one of history's most pivotal events.
Tour Highlights
Comfortable Departure from Paris Begin your day early, leaving Paris at 7:00 AM with your private guide. Midway, enjoy a delightful stop for coffee and croissants while your guide provides an insightful introduction to D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.
Discover the Ingenious Mulberry Harbor at Arromanches Upon arriving in Normandy, visit the iconic coastal village of Arromanches. Marvel at the remains of the artificial harbor (Mulberry), a remarkable engineering feat that played a crucial role in the success of the Allied landings.
Explore Longues-sur-Mer Artillery Battery Witness history firsthand at the German coastal artillery battery of Longues-sur-Mer, a key component of Germany’s formidable Atlantic Wall fortifications. The site offers a sobering look at the defenses Allied troops had to overcome.
Savor Local Cuisine Break for lunch at a traditional Norman restaurant (meal not included), where you can enjoy the region's renowned culinary delights.
Pay Tribute at the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer Experience the solemnity of the American Cemetery, a breathtaking tribute to the 9,387 American soldiers who gave their lives during the D-Day landings and subsequent operations. Visit the Memorial, the Wall of the Missing, the Chapel, and notable graves, including Medal of Honor recipients. Your visit includes time at the Interpretive Center, where compelling films and exhibits bring history to life.
Stand on Omaha Beach, a Symbol of Sacrifice Walk the sands of Omaha Beach, where courage and sacrifice defined the battle for freedom. This historic site remains a poignant reminder of the immense bravery displayed on June 6, 1944.
Conclude at Pointe du Hoc, a Monument to Heroism Your guide will lead you to Pointe du Hoc, where Colonel James Rudder and the US 2nd Ranger Battalion executed a daring assault to destroy a German artillery battery. Their extraordinary bravery secured an enduring legacy in the annals of history.
