Today, the Côte de Beaune winegrowing region is on your program. The vineyard covers 20km from north to south and faces the morning sun. Wine production here is composed of both red & white wines that are internationally renowned.

Begin your tastings with Butter-Golden Meursault

Nowhere in the Côte de Beaune does the Chardonnay grape do better than it does here. Meursault is greeny-gold in colour or canary yellow, leaning towards bronze as it ages. Limpid and brilliant, it sometimes exhibits silvery highlights. Its bouquet has strong aromas of ripe grapes. The young wine is redolent of toasted almonds and hazelnuts in both a floral and mineral setting. Butter, honey, and citrus fruits are also present.

Upon arrival at the Winery, you will immediately be taken by the meditative atmosphere. The Cellars are among the most prestigious in the region. Here, you will first have the opportunity to visit the grounds and then participate in a fully commented wine tasting session around these elegant White Wines.

Lunch options in the Côte de Beaune wine region

OPTION 1 - Lunch/tasting at a family estate.
On the menu: Burgundian dishes and cheeses combined with the varietals of your choice from among several house wines.

This option is perfect if you are interested in having a lunch in a local restaurant located in the vineyards and that serve local cuisine. 

Afternoon villages & wines of Northern Côte de Beaune

After lunch, it will be time to head towards the northern part of this Burgundy wine region. Drive through the winegrowing villages of the area and stop at the Hill of Corton famous for its White & Red Burgundy Grands Crus wines. You will also participate in a prestigious tasting at a renowned estate where your tasting will include elegant Pinot Noirs and unoaked white wines.

After your tasting, it will be time to head back to Dijon. Night at your hotel.

Wander through the Prestigious Vineyards of the Côte de Nuits, Land of Pinot Noir

Located between the town of Dijon and the tiny village of Corgoloin, the Côte de Nuits and Hautes Côtes de Nuits wine producing regions grow along a narrow strip of land that is around 20 kms long and as narrow as 200 meters wide. The wines produced here are mainly red wines and the King of the Grapes is Pinot Noir!

Follow the Burgundy Route des Grands Crus

This morning will take you to the location known as the Champs-Elysées of Burgundy. Here, you will cross famous names such as Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny or Gevrey-Chambertin. You will also, weather permitting, be able to stop for a photo opportunity next the Romanée Conti plot, a must-do for anyone taking a wine trip in Burgundy. 

Then, it will be time to experience your first Burgundy wine tasting of the day. We will take you to a prestigious cellar where you will have the opportunity to taste some delicious Burgundy wine. As you might know, the Côte de Nuits and Hautes Côtes mainly produce Burgundy red wines with the main varietal being Pinot Noir.

After your lunch, enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the vineyards. Drive through winegrowing villages and admire castles & churches along the way. Then, your next stop will be at a local Wine Estate for an exceptional Burgundy wine tasting session. Here, you will have the opportunity to taste different vintages of red wines that will commented by a knowledgeable hand. 

After your tasting, reach Château du Clos de Vougeot and walk in the footsteps of the Cistercian Monks that patiently the wine growing methods of Burgundy between the 6th & 15th centuries. As you visit the Château, admire the old vat room, the wine press as well as the cellar that was built between the 12th & 16th centuries.

After the visit of Château de Clos de Vougeot, it will be time to return to Dijon. Night at your hotel.
