Pick up at your Cruise Ship in Bordeaux City

First, we will come and pick you up directly at your Cruise Ship in Bordeaux. Meet your driver/guide who speaks impeccable English – other languages are possible on request. Your guide will go over the itinerary and program with you. It will then be time to board your A/C vehicle and begin to make your way to the Médoc Wine producing region.

Begin your Sightseeing Day Trip From Bordeaux

Departing from Bordeaux City, this Bordeaux Wine Tour Sightseeing Shore Excursion will take you to some of the most famed wine-producing appellations of Bordeaux. With a full day wine tasting tour in the Medoc, you’ll discover one of France’s most admired wine-growing regions. Beginners and seasoned wine connoisseurs alike will find plenty to love on this guided tour of Medoc led by local experts.

Drawing on local knowledge and a real love of wine, our guides will fill you in on this unique and beautiful region, and you’ll discover what makes Medoc wines so special. Ophorus guides are hand-picked and English-speaking (other languages on request), so you’ll get the most out of your experience. After your wine tour in the Médoc, you will be dropped off in Le Verdon Cruise Port.

Commented Tastings in 2 or 3 top rated Wineries

Today, you will visit two or three wineries in the local area, which are carefully selected Classified Growth Chateau or Cru Bourgeois estates. This gives you a chance to gain an excellent understanding of the wines produced here, whether as an introduction to wines or to expand on your existing knowledge.

You will participate in your first stop for a visit and wine tasting at a chateau. This will be followed by a scenic drive along the mythical ‘Route des Chateaux’ or castle road, which is a road lined with several renowned wineries. After this, you’ll have some free time for lunch in Pauillac.

In the afternoon, you’ll partake in 1 or 2 more chateau visits and tastings. Once you’ve been guided around the Medoc wine region you’ll gain expert knowledge of this world-renowned wine making region.

On an Ophorus guided tour you’ll taste the rich reds that the area is famous for whatever your tastes, a full-day tour is a wonderful chance to have a fun day out and learn more about one of France’s most beloved exports.

In addition to the local wines, you’ll find the delightful surroundings of the various wine estates a perfect way in which to appreciate the region’s rural beauty. You’ll find the local guides both knowledgeable and friendly, making a real difference to your experience for the day. Travel in comfort on our minivans, and you’ll soon be on your way to discovering the wonders of Medoc wines.

Please note that this tour ends in Le Verdon Sur Mer Cruise Port and does not go back to Bordeaux City Center.
