Embark on a vibrant Small Group Private Half-Day Shore Excursion from Cannes / Antibes Cruise Ports to visit Saint Paul de Vence village & Antibes

Pick up at your Ship

Today, we will come and pick you up at your cruise ship in Cannes or Antibes ports of call. Meet your English speaking driver-guide who will go over the itinerary and program of the day on this private tour in the French Riviera. From the city of Cannes France known for its famous Croisette boulevard and film festival palace and red carpet, depart for a half-day tour to visit the town of Antibes. Then reach the medieval village of Saint Paul de Vence where you will have some free time to explore a unique location praised by painters and actors alike.

Visit St Paul de Vence village

Saint-Paul de Vence is one of the numerous perched villages that are located in the French Riviera hinterland mountain range. From its origin, as a military stronghold, it has kept its ramparts (the town medieval walls), guard’s way, canons, and other such features. The village is also very famous because of the large number of celebrities, painters or film producers who have come to appreciate the local light, the calm, the sea and peacefulness of the area. Picasso, Matisse, Chagall or Renoir are just but a few of those that have come to take advantage of this small paradise on earth to devote some time for their artwork. Here, you will have time to explore this unique village and stroll through the narrow and picturesque streets from the Royale Gate to the Southern Gate to discover magnificent stone facades from the 16th and 17th centuries. You will certainly be amazed by a large number of art galleries and boutiques that line the narrow streets.

Visit the town of Antibes

Then we will move on to visit Antibes, an enjoyable old town of the French Riviera, that houses one of the most famous Picasso collection. The town’s port is located below its fortifications, with luxurious yachts and brightly painted fishing boats. In the 1500s, Antibes’ Fort Carré, which now dominates the port, was the last French stronghold before the Italian border. Antibes has plenty of little streets to explore and you will certainly marvel as you admire the world’s biggest private yachts in Port Vauban and the largest marina on the French Mediterranean Sea the area being coined, Billionaires Quay.

Return to Ship

After the visit, it will be time to return to your Port of Call in Cannes or Antibes. If you are in Cannes, don’t miss out on the promenade de la Croisette, a must-do when you stop in the Côte d’Azur.
