TRAVEL IN A SPACIOUS MERCEDES MINIVAN

Your private Bayeux Sightseeing Tour of the Normandy Beaches and sites will take place in one of our very spacious Mercedes Minivans. This vehicle can take up to 8 persons normally but on this occasion, the vehicle will only be for you. This allows you to choose the seat that you think best in terms of social distancing while still enjoying the information passed on by your guide.

All our vehicles are equipped with an on board P/A system that allows you to hear the commentary of your driver/guide no matter where you are seated. Also, there is free Wi-Fi access on all tour vehicles. Bottled water is also available in all our vehicles.

JUNO BEACH SECTOR INCLUDING THE MUSEUM DEDICATED TO CANADIAN WWII HISTORY

Located between St Aubin sur Mer and Courseulles sur mer, Juno Beach has become one of the most popular Normandy tourist sites and boasts a beautiful museum: the Juno Beach center museum dedicated to Canadian involvement in the D-Day landing and World War II. To honor the Canadian army, it was built in the shape of a modern maple leaf. Visit the museum with your guide and chart the history of the Canadians on this half day D-Day tour.

VISIT OF THE MAJOR CANADIAN WAR CEMETERY LOCATED AT BÉNY-SUR-MER:

Our Canadian D-Day Normandy tour carries on in Beny-sur-Mer, where the Canadian military cemetery is located. Most of the soldiers buried there were killed during the D-Day landing battles, as well as during the liberation of Caen in July 1944. The war memorial is now taken care of by the Commonwealth War Graves Commissions and is kept beautifully landscaped and immaculate.

HEAR ABOUT THE TRAGIC MASSACRE THAT TOOK PLACE AT ARDENNE ABBEY:

Eventually, you will be able to hear the story of the Ardenne Abbey, where eighteen Canadian soldiers were executed without mercy. The church is built in the early Gothic style and is surrounded by medieval farm buildings encircled by walls. A small Canadian memorial is still located there.

At the end of this Normandy D-Day tour, your driver guide will take you back to your original meeting point in Bayeux.

After the visit, return to Bayeux.
