Come with us on a full day Normandy tour from Bayeux that includes heritage, village life and culinary feats!

Your Normandy private tour will begin in Bayeux where you will get to take a look at the world’s oldest comic strip. We are of course talking about the world-world-famous Bayeux tapestry, depicting the Norman conquest of England led by William the Conqueror, the Duke of Normandy who would soon become the King of England. The 70-meter-long tapestry is a unique piece of art and is listed as part of the UNESCO World Heritage. In the museum, you will be accompanied by one of our expert, English-speaking private guides.

This Normandy day tour from Bayeux will then take you to the port city of Honfleur, which truly is one of the prettiest places on the coast. As a consequence, it is no surprise that it became the cradle of Impressionism back in the day. On the quays, historic houses will charm you. There is also a good selection of restaurants and shops where you will have time to stop for some shopping and a well-deserved meal or drink. Meanwhile, your guide will tell you all about the commercial part of the city, and how the Impressionist movement started in Normandy.

Explore all that Normandy has to offer

Honfleur also has a good selection of museums, such as the museum of old Honfleur, the Eugene Boudin museum or the Naturospace where you can mingle with alive tropical butterflies and birds. After Honfleur, it is time for your private tour of Normandy to take you to some food!

Your group will head to the Pays d’Auge, considered to be the culinary hot-spot of Normandy. Villages bear the names of cheeses (well, it is actually the other way around of course!) and are surrounded by apple orchards. If you are not familiar with French cheese making yet, you are in for a special treat. Camembert, Livarot, Pont l’Evêque and more are eagerly waiting for you, with samples.

You can also learn about the culture of apples and the making of cider in Normandy

Visit an orchard, try different kinds of ciders, and bring your favorite back home. Apart from food, the Pays d’Auge also offers lovely little village with a quaint architecture.

This Normandy private tour departs from Bayeux and can accommodate small groups of 2 to 8 persons. You will be transported in a private, fully equipped Mercedes minivan. An Expert, English-speaking driver/guide will be with you all day and will be happy to answer all your questions about Normandy. This tour is fully customizable, so do not hesitate to let us know if you have any particular visit requests.
