Tease Your Palate with the Flavors of France in Charming Aix en Provence

Meet your English-speaking guide in a centrally located meeting point and start your gourmet walking tour in the historical center of Aix en Provence. This tour will include the 700 year old daily market square where the freshest and most delicious fruits and vegetables are on display. We will show you what’s in season, how to choose ingredients and how to cook with them. We will meet local farmers selling different varieties of produce, such as strawberries or old-fashioned tomatoes, all harvested that morning. We will taste goat’s cheese, hams, honey, olives, and plenty of other surprises, all while experiencing the gorgeous smells coming from cooked food merchants.  We will also stop for an artisanal French coffee at a traditional roastery, absorbing the colorful sights and sounds of life in the square as it has been lived for hundreds of years. As the morning concludes with an introduction to the region’s iconic rosé wine, you will come away having experienced the happy atmosphere of a market day in Provence, along with all its tastes and smells, as well as a real insider’s visit of this astonishingly beautiful town.
