• Do you organize pick up and return at accommodation for private tours?

  Yes, absolutely. We will come and pick you up at your hotel, accommodation, AirBnB or train station in Bayeux or within a 30kms (20 miles) radius at no extra cost.

• What type of vehicles are used during your private tours from Bayeux?

  Our company uses only premium cars & minivans that are recent, comfortable and fully equipped including individual A/C, shaded windows and large leg space.

• Who conducts these Normandy private tours from Bayeux?

  All our tours are conducted by English speaking guides that are also, in most cases, the driver. For a more personalized experience, we can also organize any private tour with both driver and guide. On this particular tour, your guide is an expert on medieval history & architecture.

• How difficult is it to reach Mont Saint Michel Abbey?

  Mont Saint Michel as the name points out, is a mount and the Abbey is located at the top of the Mount! There are roughly 350 stairs that you will need to climb to reach the Abbey - around 200 stairs are in the village itself and the remaining 150 are within the Abbey. Therefore, if you have reduced mobility then the safer option is to stay in the village. This tour is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

• How long is the drive from Bayeux to Mont Saint Michel?

  From Bayeux, to reach Mont Saint Michel, it will take just over one hour and a half. During the driving time, your guide will speak to you about the history and culture of the Normandy region. All our vehicles are equipped with a P/A system that allows our guides to safely make commentaries during driving time. The good thing is, everyone can hear no matter where you are seated.

• Will we have some free time for personal discovery of Mont Saint Michel?

  Yes, after the morning guided visit of the Abbey, the rest of your time at the Mont Saint Michel is for you to enjoy. You can either stay a bit more at the top of the Mount or decide to make your way back down slowly. On your way, don't hesitate to take some of the smaller side streets that are less crowded and that can lead to some stunning views over the Bay.

• Is lunch included on this private day trip from Bayeux?

  No, we never include lunch on our private tours. However, if you would like to organize a lunch in a local restaurant then please let our team of travel experts know and they will do the rest. Indicate what type of restaurants you are looking for in terms of budget and meal or better let us know your choice and our team will make the corresponding arrangements.
